Figured I should introduce myself since I started this website. I have been posting under "Admin" but wanted my own account. I created this site to try and bring 4wd enthusiast together. Because where I live on the Western Slope there are not a ton of groups but there are tons of trails and Moab is just a few hours down the road.

Most of us belong to vehicle specific forums, jeepforum, jkforum, lostkjs, ih8mud for the Toyota guys.

I was looking for something that was not vehicle specific and was not difficult to be a member of with limited restrictions.  Sure the rule page is like 2 pages long but really these are things any one should be doing to be "offroading" respectfully.

I have been 4 wheeling in Jeeps Since about 2004. My first Jeep was a 1998 Jeep Wrangler that I had while I spent some time in Stationed in California. I wheeled the crap out of that Jeep with basically 33 inch tires and front and rear lockers exploring almost all the trail in Southern California.

Fast forward to 2012 and 5 Jeeps later I finally get to live in Colorado. I live a few miles east of Glenwood Springs and now have a 2008 JKU Rubicon. The JK is a huge step up from the TJ in the comfort area! I went through some Jeeps on the way, I had a two Liberties, the first was just a Daily Driver I had while stationed in North Carolina, I had an XJ I bought for cheap when I first got to Colorado and needed a car, then I had a Diesel Liberty I thought I was going to build up, but got tired of the IFS restrictions, and did not want to put 8-10,000 dollars into it for a "proper" solid axle swap so I took the plunge and bought a used stock JK and did some mild mods to properly run 35inch tires.

While I was stationed in California I belonged to "Just Runs" a4wd club that had no bs, just trail runs and the group runs a lot trails and is well respected. I give credit to them for this site because it is basically modeled after them. Yep, I stole their idea, and a bit from their site and changed a few things.

We will see if the site is a flop or a success... even if myself and a few guys out here I know just use it to arrange our own runs then that is fine, but hopefully it can be used statewide and we can get a good group of people going here.

Thanks for joining,
Lucas

Nope I got out in 2010 after 2 enlistments. I spend most my time in CA and about 14 months in NC.
